SINUS : THESE ARE CAVITY IN THE FACE BONES . THEY ARE CONNECTED TO NASAL CAVITY AIR BY THEIR OPENING CALLED OSTEUM. FRONTAL SINUS : This is the cavity in the frontal bone aereated by cleft in the lateral wall of nose called middle meatus. Maxillary sinus : Cavity in the cheek bone. aerated by middle meatus cleft via maxillary osteum. Ethmoid Sinuses : Located in between two eyes on either side of septum . in two groups; ant ethmoid and post ethmoid separated by middle turbinate. Sphenoid sinus : Located behind post ethmoid in the midpotrion of skull. Aerated by osteum in the superior meatus. . |
